Description A low growing shrub that produces red berries. Now widely cultivated in the United States. Mainly in Massachusetts and Washington. In early times, cranberries were used to treat wounds, tumors, and scurvey. Today, they are used in preventing and treating urinary tract infections. Eating cranberries seems to prevent bacteria and micro-organisms from attaching to the wall of the bladder, thus preventing bacterial growth and infection.


Uses Helps with deoderizing urine. Preventing urinary tract infections. Daily usage may prevent a recurrence of infection.
